Other than the basic "I want a great body for the beach" goals for summer, this list will be a tad bit different.
My year so far is filled to the brim with productivity, new beginnings and experiences. Although I might not have completed my new year's resolutions (or goals, for those who don't like that phrase) so far for the year, I think I might be able to save myself with the remaining 6-7 months.
Finish My Community College Art Portfolio
First off, this goal is probably the very first thing I'd be able to complete this summer since the due date is the ending of July/beginning of August. Although it isn't an "optional" goal per-se, its still something challenging given the time period to complete the numerous amount of assignments. One of my goals in life is to attend my local community college's art program. Since it is so diverse I am eager to hop right in and start gaining new skills and honing the old and new ones. I am aiming to provide a strong portfolio along with good grades from my recent exams to top off my submission.
Blog A-L-O-T More
I started a blog on my website, but I never really got to post as often as I wished. As the ideas came I started creating a huge backlog of drafts and from the day of creating them, I never got the chance or motivation to return and add more to them. I want to reach the point where I can at least post twice a month, with a reasonable space in between on relevant topics may it be personal or product reviews. I also want to stop beating up myself about having "perfect" blog content. Yes, I need to strive for greatness, however I should just write what I feel like without filtering my content as it IS a personal blog and its about ME and those who are interested enough to peak into my life and thoughts.
Having A Consistent TWITCH Streaming Schedule
I am so frustrated that I had something great going on and life just kicked my butt left right and center leaving me too tired and exhausted to stream on twitch. First it was the moving process, then finding my headset, being extremely exhausted, then getting swarmed with exams and deadlines plus trying to take on modeling jobs and get myself out there. Enough with the excuses, I just want to be able to stream every Saturday, enjoying talking to my usual audience and gaining new ones as well. Its always fun to play a game and receive live opinions and maybe some tips and tricks.
Have A Consistent Skincare Routine
I need to take better care of my skin consistently, not much else to say about this.
Kick Some Things Off My Wishlist
This is an... Ambitious goal.. There's almost no guarantee or high possibility I'd have extra money to put into my wishlist may it be things I need or luxuries for myself. But.. That goal will still be out there. If anyone is interested in finding out whats on the top of my wishlist, I'll do a post regarding it soon!
Consistently Post On ALL Of My Social Media
Having a ton of social media platforms can be rather difficult and intimidating to manage and post on a proper consistent schedule regularly. But no one likes following dead accounts!! I need to be way more active and also take a big plunge into SEO and other related nifty things that are quite annoying to the human brain. With that being said, this includes my Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Website, DeviantArt and Tumblr; all those millions of platforms I use. I have some plans in mind to help succeed at this goal, if I end up being successful, maybe I'll share some tips and such in a blog post!
Promote The Living Daylights Out Of My Patreon
I always wanted to take that big step in having a Patreon, I finally did create one but I need several other things to fall in line before I can actively promote it and push to gain more patrons. One of the things I definitely need is content to reward my patrons and finalize my reward tiers. Along with that I need to do some fancy-wancy icons and videos about my Patreon to help encourage you all to pledge!
Start Selling On Etsy
This is definitely something on the TOP of my list to knock off. I want to start selling on my Etsy. I would like to be open to a whole new market instead of just having a local market in terms of physical products. I have been procrastinating as I need to sort out the packaging situation and a few financial points before I hop right in. By the end of summer, I want to at least have products on my Etsy, ready to sell and HOPEFULLY being sold.
Prepare For My Table At AnimeKon
I'm quite.. "glad" that the due date for this goal extended by a few weeks, but that means I should be prepared well in advanced!! Although when it comes to selling at anime conventions, no artist is well prepared in advanced and starts preparing since the beginning of the year or the ending of the previous year. It IS my first year officially selling at an anime convention AND selling my artwork at one as well so the pressure and confusion is in full circle regarding having good content to make people return the next year, contact me outside of the convention for products or even simply following me on my social media. Hopefully I can pull it off and have a good experience.
If you enjoyed this post, please feel free to like this post and share with friends! Feel free to let me know what your goals for summertime are! I'd be interested to find out what my reader's are up to!
